Who is Llewellyn?

Llewellyn is the oldest and largest metaphysical publisher in the world. Our company was founded in 1901 by astrologer Llewellyn George, who published a handful of astrology books, calendars, and planetary guides out of his home in Portland, Oregon. Llewellyn George's legacy lives on at Llewellyn through his classic text, The A to Z Horoscope Maker and Interpreter, and through Llewellyn's top-selling calendars and annuals.

But we've expanded our horizons, and now Llewellyn has over 1,000 books, tarot decks, and kits in print. Today, Llewellyn products are sold to book retailers and book wholesalers across the globe. Our products are sold and distributed online and through brick-and-mortar storefronts. Our titles have been translated into German, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Turkish, Thai, and countless other languages.

Llewellyn has some of metaphysical publishing's brightest stars on its author roster. Many of our Wiccan authors have become icons in the Pagan community: Scott Cunningham, Raymond Buckland, and Silver RavenWolf are known the world over for their expertise.
